Tee shots can simply make or break your round. The set up with the driver differs to that of a standard iron shot but the idea of hitting through the ball is the same. I see so many players attempting to hit the ball into the air.

Ball position being inside the heel of the front foot and having set your weight to 60% on the back leg already allows for an ascending blow to the golf ball or catching it on the up swing. I like to feel from there though that I can swing the club forwards through the ball and be able to extend the club through the hitting area like reaching out for an object at knee height out in front of you. This not only improves accuracy but also adds a few extra yards to the tee shot.
